Frequently Asked Questions

Straight answers to common questions about driving with Sobotranz.
If you don’t see what you’re looking for, our recruiting team is always happy to help.

Do you offer detention, layover, or extra stop pay — and how does it work?

Yes. Detention, layover, and extra stop pay are available depending on the load and situation. Talk to recruiting and we’ll explain how it’s handled for your runs.

What does “fully loaded” mean in your trucks (comfort features, sleeper setup)?

Our trucks are set up for OTR comfort and day-to-day practicality. For the exact in-cab setup on the truck you’d be assigned, reach out and we’ll confirm details.

How long does it usually take from pre-qualifying to getting seated in a truck?

It depends on scheduling and how quickly onboarding steps are completed. Once you pre-qualify, we’ll outline the timeline on the call and keep the next steps clear.

What are the basic driver requirements you check (MVR/PSP, experience, record)?

We require a valid CDL-A and a safety-focused, clean professional record. The pre-qualifier covers the key details, and recruiting will confirm specifics with you.

Shippers: What information do you need to provide an accurate quote?

Lane (pickup/delivery cities), dates, commodity, weight, and any special requirements. Send what you have, and we’ll follow up for anything missing.

Do you offer regional truck driving jobs or regional CDL-A jobs?

We’re primarily OTR. Regional opportunities may be available depending on lanes and scheduling — ask recruiting what’s currently open.

Do you have local CDL-A jobs or home daily truck driving jobs?

We’re an OTR-focused operation and don’t position this role as home daily. If you’re specifically looking for local work, recruiting can confirm whether anything is available at the moment.
